Spring is in the air and for many this means that Hayfever season is also approaching! This welcome and glorious time of year can be the beginning of uncomfortable symptoms for Hayfever sufferers who often need antihistamines to control itching, sneezing, ticking throats, blocked sinuses and much more, however herbs can greatly help symptoms and give welcome relief.
People are often allergic to different types of pollen and so symptoms can come on at different times, I always advise people to begin taking herbal teas or tinctures 1-2 months before their own 'season' begins. This gives time to allow the herbs to get working. The herbal approach includes nourishing the delicate tissues and membranes within the respiratory system, boosting immunity, tackling allergy and blood cleansing. Herbal therapeutics are applied to enhance the bodies natural defence rather than suppressing inflammation pathways. I am working on some blends of tea for Hayfever which will be available in the next couple of weeks so watch this space! Please contact me if you would like a full or mini consultation for a personalised blend of tincture for Hayfever or Allergies.
